iTunes is a bloated mess on Windows, but it's not terrible if you have patience, or a fast computer with an SSD and a little patience, because it's still gonna be slow. You will have to copy the music over AGAIN into its bespoke storage.Īs an iPhone guy (now) who came from Android and is used to that way of doing things, I recommend you do one in two things.Ĭommit to iTunes. However, if you find another music player you like more (such as FLACbox, another popular choice) you will find that they do not share files. It's super easy to put music in it! Just hit the Connections tab on the bottom (second from left), hit Computer, go to the website it tells you on the computer, enter the code, and start copying stuff over. I recommend you start with Documents, which is actually a file manager that also plays media. Music players exist that do not work with Music.app, however. Music played in Cesium is being played in Music.app, it just gives you better sorting and a slightly different display. There are music players like Cesium that make Music.app better, but they're just frontends. iOS is geared toward music played through Music.app aka iTunes, which will play music you've copied over from iTunes, or Apple Music if you're subbed to that (I saw, you said you don't like music streaming services). Nothing quite like Poweramp exists on iOS.
